THE THREAT
Drones have rewritten ground combat.
Electronic jamming is no longer enough. Fibre-optic tethered drones are immune to it, making a kinetic (hard-kill) answer a necessity rather than an option. Cheap close-range options like shotguns exist, but they mean a second weapon, added load, and a separate supply chain, and they aren't issued to the individual infantryman, who still carries a rifle that almost never connects with a fast, erratic target.
This is a capability gap measured in lives, and every modern military shares it.
THE MARKET
A new category in an exploding market.
The global counter-drone market is forecast to grow from roughly US$4.5B in 2025 to over US$14.5B by 2030, more than 26% a year. Today's solutions, missiles, lasers and jammers, are expensive and can't be issued to every frontline soldier, leaving a widely acknowledged capability gap at the individual level. The KAP opens a new category to fill it: distributed, low-cost hard kill. By arming every soldier rather than competing for the same high-end systems, Warspite doesn't just enter this market, it expands it.
